Cașunca: A New Roof

capsuna0001.jpgA few months ago, I shared about a new church in Casunca, a poor village in the north part of Moldova.  The church has been growing, but are without a building.  Over a year ago, they found the perfect building, but the price was too high ($44,000).  They didn’t have $10, so that amount was a pipe dream!

They church started to collect money.  We had some individuals that contributed a little bit.  Other missionaries gave something.  Moldovan churches gave to the need.

AND…last month they purchased the building!  With the drop of the euro, we were within $5,000, so we borrowed the money and got the building purchased.  What a great miracle of God’s provision.

If you want to be a part of finishing this miracle off with the last $5,000, please send to our account, with the memo: Proj 13110.

Leova: A New Roof

Last month I mentioned the need to rebuild the roof and ceiling for the church in Leova.  We actually need to tear off the current roof, pour a new floor for a 2nd floor, and then rebuild a new roof.

BUT…in the meantime, the church has already remodeled the basement and are meeting there!

Leova is a nice-sized town in the south part of Moldova, nestled on the Romanian border.  The two young men who have taken responsibility there, working and ministering, trying to make a spiritual impact in that town.

Do you want to be a part of giving a church a permanent home, a place for ministry?

[Need:  $20,000.  Note Project 13110-Leova in memo]

Home of Hope:  Continually Building!

We keep tweaking and improving the building.  We are about to install two doors in the basement, creating a group counseling room and work room.  We have added the fencing for the garden, raised the height of the fence, and are about to start on an additional room.

What lies ahead is the septic system repair, air conditioning installation, and kids playground construction.  The septic system is giving us grief, and we now about to open up the outside pavement to get at it.  Not looking forward to that!  We still need about $8000 for all of the further additions and repairs.

AND…we are still looking ahead at purchasing an apartment as another transition home (Need: $90,000).

[Need:  Some strong faithful partners].

The church is getting much closer to being finished.  The windows and doors are all installed, and we are starting to work on the outside stucco for the first floor.  They even celebrated their inaugural service in the building in March!  The church in Bubuieci is a great example of a church filled with life!

We still need $4000 to finish the stucco, inside and out. [Need:  $4000 for construction, note Proj 13110, Bubuieci, in memo]
